For the ONE PLAYER game, Hop Over Two, put 6 red markers on the blue circles, numbers 1 to 6, and 6 yellow markers on the circles 7 to 12. The object of the game is to bring the red markers on top of the yellow markers in 6 moves. The player must hop over 2 markers with every move, but these 2 markers may be on top of each other.
WARNING: SPOILER ALERT. DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU CAN’T FIGURE OUT THE SOLUTION. The instructions specifically state, “SOLUTION: Do not read this solution before you give up.” So we’ll assume you have tried and given up if you’ve read this far. Here’s the solution:
The 6 moves are: Marker 1 on top of 10, 6 on top of 9, 4 on top of 12, 2 on top of 7, 3 on top of 11, and 5 on top of 8.
